An overview of our route... These pictures will give you an overview of the route we will be taking up the Axel Heiberg glacier. You can see the maze of crevasses we will be working our way through. We will be staying to the side of them as much as possible to avoid that danger. It is magnificently terrifying to look at though. As you can see from the elevation profile of the route, it's a bit steep in the beginning, to say the least :) That part is the glacier, then it flattens significantly once we get on the polar plateau. There will be a slight incline until Titan Dome and then a slight descent to the South Pole. Once we get out there, I will be a bit busier, so I won't check in with my usual long rambles as often as I am now :) But I will check in from time to time to update y'all and share the lessons. The live tracker will be updated daily as well Thank you all for following along and being a part of this journey in Antarctica. I hope you are enjoying these updates and finding them valuable. It genuinely makes a difference to have you all with me here Much love, my friends.
