Some of you may be a psychological rhinoceros that can self generate a constant inner drive without any external forces, but for the rest of us mortal folks we need something to keep us motivated. Something to keep us on track during all those tiresome moments when our Herculean dreams seem impossible to turn into reality. Every once in a while, all it takes is a little reminder to get our mind, body and spirit working together to achieve the impossible.
I created for myself a binder to plan and log my training, nutrition and to-do lists for the week. For the front cover of my binder, I printed out the picture you see above and on it I wrote down a few words to keep me inspired. These are the questions I ask myself when I wake up in the morning. I hope they help you find the questions that you need to ask yourself in order to reach your true potential:
“Every day is a journey to liberate yourself from fear, laziness and weakness. Today is a chance to find your inner greatness. It is not a distant dream that can be found on the mountains or the poles, it is an elemental part of your soul that wrestles with your demons for every minute of every hour. Your destiny will not wait for you. You have to fight for it. You have to earn it. You must ask yourself today, without concern for tomorrow, will you break down the walls obstructing you from glory and rebuild yourself as a stronger, faster and better human being? Will you crawl into bed tonight knowing that on this prodigious day you ripped out the heart of darkness from within you and unleashed your infinite potential? Will you look back on this day as one that added value to your life?”

Thanks Kevin. I now work as a success coach and I run an adventure company, Amara Adventures where I get to share my passions with everyone else.
