This blog provides a platform for travel, adventure, and exploration of the frontiers of the human experience. Whether it be climbing mountains in the Himalayas, walking through leper colonies in Mumbai, or skiing across Greenland, this blog will document my encounters with planet earth and with humanity. My hope is to inspire and connect with like minded men and women who consistently seek to venture far outside their comfort zones.
This will be a source of information for others to set up their own expeditions. Through trip reports and regular updates during my journeys, my blog aims to educate others on the nature and value of exploration. I will catalog my weekly training routine and the steps I take to prepare for my expeditions, logistically, physically and mentally.
As a student of philosophy, I plan on using this blog to analyze the human rights violations that occur every day as well as delve into the reasons behind endeavors accompanied by extraordinary risk. I seek to understand the human capacity for evil and greatness. This will be the place where I chronicle the life lessons and the knowledge of the human condition I garner through my exploration of the extremes.
Having returned from Nepal two days ago, I will begin this blog with a trip report on my mountaineering and ice caving trip in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas. Come back tomorrow for the introduction to my journey and the first section of this four part series.
